The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Seoul on September 13 launched the second phase training course for 20 Vietnamese journalists to better implement Government policies.

The program trainees include officials and lecturers of the Academy of Journalism & Communication, officials of the Central Propaganda and Education Committee, Ministry of Information and Communications, Hanoi Television, Kinh te & Do thi(Economic and Urban) Newspaper, and several local news publishers.

Nguyen Duc Toan, Vice Rector of the Academy of Journalism & Communication, appreciated KOICA's support for the academy in recent years.

He said that the training program proves effective in improving the capability of Vietnamese reporters, academy lecturers, and managers in policy implementation and expansion of partnership networks with partners.

"The program is well designed and attached with new trends in South Korea and the world, which can be applied in Vietnam," he said.

The Vice rector expected that KOICAand the academy would further enhance and improve their cooperation in the future.

The training course is part of the KOICA Fellowship Program's second phase on “Capacity Enhancement on Implementing Government Policies of the Academy of Journalism & Communication in 2022-2024”.

During the program's first phase (2015-2018), the Vietnamese journalism academy sent 60 officials to South Korea for training, organized four international workshops, and published three books.

 The training course is part of the KOICA Fellowship Program's second phase on “Capacity Enhancement on Implementing Government Policies of the Academy of Journalism & Communication in 2022-2024”.
